What I am looking at and would like to pull the trigger on is a late 2012 mac mini with a quadcore i7 maxed with 16gb of ram running OS mojave with logic pro x and motu 16a for the convertors and a UAD sattelite system. So please dont suggest going the pc route. Since, up until recently, I have been mixing down to tape so it hasnt been too big a deal to freeze tracks and pull the max I can out of this system. What I have loved about this set up is the stability of it. Running logic 8 pro and a UAD1 card with 2 motu 2408 mkii's with the 324 pci card. My current set up is a 933 G4 tower with only a 1.25gb of ram. All of you will probably laugh that I am still using it but it has for the most part worked well. So I am in desperate need of updating my rig.
